In 2010 we formed a partnership with the vision to create the kind of restaurant that we would like to eat at. press* food & wine opened the following year and six years in, that goal remains our focus.
At press* we’re unashamedly parochial when it comes to sourcing our food. We work within the season, close at hand with our local suppliers and small-scale farmers. We’ve got an eager eye for provenance.
We look at cooking as a skilled craft not as art. We are ‘in-house’ when it comes to curing, pickling, baking, brining, and smoking.
Press* proudly received a ‘hat’ in the Good Food Guide 2018. This is the first time the guide has been national, and we are thrilled to be recognised in this way.
